  1. Sweat the onion and peppers over medium low heat with ~1tsp of salt until the onion is transluscent
  2. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute
  3. Add the beans and water, bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer until the liquid has mostly evaporated. tast occasionally and add more salt if needed (hard to say since it's reducing, but maybe 1/2-1 tsp more? probably depends on salt in beans)
