1 pint of [cooked blacked beans](https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2014/09/the-lazy-cooks-black-beans-easy-recipe.html) or 1 can of black beans
1 pint of water
half a large onion, or a whole small onion
some amount of peppers (1/2 cup if using frozen bell peppers, less if jalapeno, or fresh peppers, requires judgement)
3 cloves of garlic
Salt
Steps
Sweat the onion and peppers over medium low heat with ~1tsp of salt until the onion is transluscent
Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute
Add the beans and water, bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer until the liquid has mostly evaporated. tast occasionally and add more salt if needed (hard to say since it's reducing, but maybe 1/2-1 tsp more? probably depends on salt in beans)
