Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp ancho chili powder
- 2 cups chicken stock (home made no salt added)
- 3 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup roasted tomato salsa
Steps:
- Melt the butter, when foaming add flour, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and tomato sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes
- whisk in stock, salsa, whisk until smooth
- Season with salt (~1 tsp) to taste
