Ingredients

• 2 Tbsp butter
• 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
• 1 Tbsp ancho chili powder
• 2 cups chicken stock (home made no salt added)
• 3 Tbsp tomato paste
• 1/2 tsp cumin
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup [roasted tomato salsa](roasted_tomato_salsa.html)

Steps

1. Melt the butter, when foaming add flour, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and tomato sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes
2. whisk in stock, salsa, whisk until smooth
3. Season with salt (~1 tsp) to taste
