Steps:

  1. heat oven to 450 F
  2. Grate garlic on a micro plane and microwave with 4 Tbsp avocado / olive oil until a temp of ~150 F ~30 seconds - 1 minute
  3. Add 1 tsp water + 1 tsp garlic powder and mix well to combine
  4. combine mayo, garlic paste + oil, and garlic powder + water and mix well
  5. Half the loaf of bread, cover with mayo garlic mixture
  6. Bake bread oil side up for 4 minutes
  7. Flip for oil side down
  8. Press with a sheet tray
  9. Bake with sheet tray on top for 5 - 10 minutes

Notes:

on 2021 Oct 01 I used mayo instead of olive oil for the remaining 2 Tbsp,but it didn't seem to help with thickenign / spreading. It may have, but I should try with out. I also forgot cayenne, and wondered about adding italian seasoning.
