Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup diced pepper
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups TVP
- 2 cups water
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 tsp corn starch
Steps:
- Sweat the onion and pepper in vegetable until softened
- Add the spices and cook for 1 minute
- deglaze with water, add soy sauce, tvp, water, salsa, and corn starch
- cook for 5 - 8 minutes until the sauce has a good consistency. Adjust seasonings to taste
