TVP Tacos

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.5 cup diced pepper (optional)
- 100 g onion, diced (about 1/2 onion)
- 1 tsp hot chili powder (just powdered chili (or 1 Tbsp US chili powder))
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1.5 tsp cumin
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- 0.5 tsp oregano
- 0.5 tsp salt (to taste)
- 0.5 tsp black pepper (to taste)
- 175 g TVP
- 2 cups water
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 cup salsa
- 0.5 tsp corn starch
Steps
- Sweat the onion and pepper in vegetable oil until softened
- Add the spices and cook for 1 minute
- Deglaze with water, add soy sauce, TVP, salsa, and corn starch
- Cook for 5-8 minutes until the sauce has a good consistency. Adjust seasonings to taste

This makes too much - consider halving the recipe
